Frequently asked questions
What is the Dyson 360 Vis Navᵀᴹ robot vacuum?
The Dyson 360 Vis NavTM is our latest and most advanced robot vacuum technology yet. This is the UK’s most powerful robot vacuum1 with our latest HyperdymiumTM motor. With a panoramic 360° camera, the robot can see all around it and where it needs to clean, systemically and intelligently mapping its path. And with the MyDysonTM app you can control cleans wherever you are – customising, scheduling and reviewing in real time.
What makes the Dyson 360 Vis Navᵀᴹ different from other robot vacuum cleaners?
The Dyson 360 Vis NavTM generates 6x the suction of any other robot vacuum1 and sucks up more than any other robot across all floors1. And with our patented cyclone technology, there is never any loss of suction. The D-shaped body of the 360 Vis NavTM makes cleaning into corners easier unlike circular robots and with the addition of our new extracting side duct, you can reach right up to the edge and into corners so no part of your home is left untouched. Our new triple-action brush bar is the first to include 3 ways to clean across all floor types so it deep cleans your home like no other and with dual link suspension the robot can climb up to 21mm. A piezo sensor inside the robot, monitors dust levels – automatically increasing suction power when it detects more dust, while time of flight sensors detect walls and objects up to 2 metres away. Finally, whole-machine HEPA filtration traps dust and seals in 99.99% of particles as microscopically small as 0.1 microns.
Does the Dyson 360 Vis Navᵀᴹ robot vacuum clean across carpets and hard floors?
Yes, the Dyson 360 Vis NavTM robot vacuum includes our new triple action brush bar, which combines three ways to deep clean and is engineered for all floor types. Anti-static black carbon fibre filaments extract dust from hard floors and crevices, stiff nylon bristles drive deep to remove ground-in dirt and pet hair from rugs and carpets and soft woven nylon fibres capture large debris across all floor types. However, the Dyson 360 Vis Nav robot vacuum cannot be used on damp or wet floors.
Is the Dyson 360 Vis Navᵀᴹ robot vacuum designed for homes with pets?
Yes, the Dyson 360 Vis NavTM has 6x the suction of any other robot1 and sucks up more than any other robot across all floors⁵, so it can pick up pet hair from all around your home. The triple action is also engineered with a wide diameter to reduce hair tangling.
How long is the run time of the Dyson 360 Vis Navᵀᴹ robot vacuum?
A 12-cell lithium-ion battery delivers up to 65 minutes of powerful fade-free suction, when the Dyson 360 Vis NavTM robot vacuum is in Quiet Mode. However, total run time will vary based on power mode, floor type, furniture layout and dust levels. When the robot needs to recharge it will automatically return to the dock to charge. Then once fully charged it will go back and resume cleaning from where it left off. In total, the Dyson 360 Vis NavTM takes 1 hour and 55 minutes to fully recharge.
What's the difference between Pascals and Air Watts?
Pascals (Pa) are a unit of measurement used in physics to describe a difference in pressure inside and outside an object. Meanwhile, Air Watts (AW) measure suction power, accounting for both pressure (Pa) and rate of airflow. Since it's a holistic measurement, looking at Ait Watts is the most useful way to assess vacuum performance.
How many Air Watts create the ideal suction power for vacuums?
Air Watts (AW) differ between robot, cordless and upright or cylinder vacuums. Although Air Watts can help to indicate the suction power of a vacuum, it isn't the only factor to consider. How well a vacuum is sealed and the intelligence of the design play crucial roles in overall power and effectiveness. Generally, when looking at performance, higher Ait Watts mean better suction power. However, robot vacuums don't require as many Air Watts as cordless, upright or cylinder vacuums – which is due to a better seal to the surface.
What indicated a powerful vacuum?
Suction power, indicated by Air Watts (AW), is a good starting point to understand the power of a vacuum as this indicated both pressure and rate of air flow. How well a vacuum is sealed is also critical as Air Watts can be lost via cracks and gaps in the machine. Well-designed air flow is another important factor to allow the vacuum to broadly capture dust and debris in hard-to-reach areas.
Is the Dyson 360 Vis Navᵀᴹ robot vacuum smart home connected?
Yes, through the My DysonTM app you can control, customise and schedule your clean, whether you are at home or not. The 360 Vis NavTM is also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant and can be controlled through voice commands. You can customise your clean through defining zones around your home and choosing how and when your robot cleans them by setting times, days and power mode. You can also set rules and routines, such as switching off the brush bar motor for quiet spaces and deep-pile rugs, defining no-climb zones, or setting areas to avoid altogether. Once finished, the My DysonTM app will display a cleaning report – showing scientific proof of a deep clean, where your robot has cleaned and how much dust it has picked up. Finally, the MyDysonTM app ensures your robot will always have the latest functionalities and features through automatic software updates over WIFI.
Do I need to connect to the app?
Yes. Connection to the MyDyson™ app is required to set up your robot. This activates its intelligent features.
What is the 360° vision system and how does the Dyson 360 Vis Navᵀᴹ robot map your home?
The Dyson 360 Vis NavTM robot vacuum has an intelligent 360° vision system, so it can analyse its surroundings, see precisely where it needs to clean and remember where it’s been. This machine has 26 different sensors and analyses up to 10,000 data points a second, building a map of every room and floor in your home and intelligently navigating its way through your entire home. All this information is remembered by the My DysonTM app so you can set zones and customise your robot’s behaviour.
How many different cleaning modes are available on the Dyson 360 Vis Navᵀᴹ robot vacuum?
The Dyson 360 Vis NavTM robot vacuum has four different cleaning modes, so you can clean your way. Auto mode is recommended and analyses dust levels, automatically increasing suction power when more dust is identified. Quick mode optimises speed to stay on top of everyday cleans. Quiet mode reduces noise for peaceful areas – and longer run time. Boost mode provides greater suction to clean ground-in dirt and pet hair. You can choose power through the My DysonTM app or on the LCD screen on the 360 Vis NavTM robot vacuum.
