Straightening different hair types
Hints and tips for turning any hair type into refined, smooth hair.
· For best results, start with sectioned hair
· Stretch out coily hair before straightening
· For thick or curly hair, take smaller sections
· To get closer to the roots, take sections at an angle
· For finer hair, take larger sections
· To align shorter hairs, tilt plates slightly inwards
· To shape the ends under, rotate 45°
· Reduce temperature around the delicate hairline
· For a bouncy fringe, lift then pull down and under
· Shape sides under and away from the face
· Finish with your favourite smoothing product

Smooth and sleek
Create refined, smooth hair.
1. Start with freshly washed hair
2. Add your favourite styling product
3. Stretch out hair with a wide tooth comb tool
4. Section detangled hair
5. For curly and coily hair, set to the highest temperature
6. Place the Dyson Corrale™ straightener close to the roots
7. Place each section in centre so plates can gather the hair
8. Glide through to the ends with slow, even passes
9. The plates flex, so there’s no need to apply excess pressure
10. Repeat throughout your hair
11. Experiment with section size, to see what suits your hair best
12. For thick, coarse or curly hair, try taking smaller sections
13. For finer hair, try larger sections
14. Reduce temperature for the hairline sections

Beach waves
Create textured waves for a tousled look.
1. Detangle and section hair
2. Place the Dyson Corrale straightener horizontally on the hair
3. Place each section in the centre, so plates can gather the hair
4. Rotate 360 degs away from the face
5. Glide through the hair slowly and evenly
6. The plates flex, so there’s no need to apply excess pressure
7. Repeat, alternating direction of curls
8. Experiment with section size, to see what suits your hair best

9. Straighten ends to give a beachy look
10. Loosen with fingers and finish with texture spray

Create voluminous, bouncy curls that move freely.
1. Section hair
2. Place the Dyson Corrale™ straightener directly on the hair
3. Rotate 360° towards face and glide through hair
Tip: Smaller sections give tighter curls
4. Repeat, alternating the direction as you go
5. Shake out
6. Add a curl cream to define curls

Create smooth, flowing waves for a more glamourous look.
1. Detangle and section hair
2. Place the Dyson Corrale™ straightener horizontally on the hair
3. Place each section in the centre, so plates can gather the hair
4. Glide until halfway down the section, then rotate 360°
5. Repeat throughout your hair, with slow, even passes
6. The plates flex, so there’s no need to apply excess pressure
7. Experiment with section size, to see what suits your hair best
8. For thick, coarse or curly hair, try taking smaller sections
9. For finer hair, try larger sections
10. Pull front sections forward and slowly rotate 180°
11. Brush through to soften the curls
12. Finish with hairspray for hold

1. Detangle and section hair
2. Place the Dyson Corrale™ straightener horizontally on the hair
3. Place each section in the centre, so plates can gather the hair
4. Turn inwards and pull down two inches
5. Turn outwards and pull down two inches
6. Repeat throughout your hair, with slow, even passes
7. The plates flex, so there’s no need to apply excess pressure
8. Experiment with section size, to see what suits your hair best
9. For finer hair, try larger sections
10. For soft curls around the face rotate 180° and glide to the ends
11. Smooth fringe, shaping the ends under
12. Comb through to break up the waves
13. Finish with your favourite styling product

Create smooth hair with gentle bends and movement at the ends.
1. Spray roots with water
2. Lift the roots as you dry to add volume
3. When fully dry, detangle and section hair
4. Place each section in centre so plates can gather the hair
5. Starting at the neck, glide the Dyson Corrale™ straightener through the hair
6. The plates flex, so there’s no need to apply excess pressure
7. Rotate 45° inwards at the ends
