Cleaning instructions

To keep your Airblade looking new, ensure that all surfaces of the Airblade hand dryer are cleaned daily with a soft cloth and a nonabrasive/non-caustic cleaning solution.

Wipe down the fascia daily to avoid mineral deposits and build up of debris. Clean the floor and wall beneath and around the unit. This may be required more regularly in high use areas.

The following chemicals are some that are harmful to the unit and should not be used. The use of these will invalidate the warranty.

Do not use:

  • Alcohol-acid mixes
  • Alcohol
  • Solvent / oil-based products
  • Quaternary ammonium
  • Alkali-bleach mixes
  • Foaming ingredients
  • Bleach or abrasive cleaners
  • Do not pressure wash

What is the issue with the cable entry?

While the cable entry can be either from the left or right side, if the wrong side has been removed upon installation or you wish to change the side after installation, we must make you aware that this is not possible unless a replacement Main body is ordered

Machine working normally

Please note that when using our product (and any other hands under, wall mounted hand dryer) that the water from wet hands is blown off into the air and if there is a collection of water on the wall, this can be easily wiped away as part of the regular cleaning regime in the washroom.

If the water on the wall is an issue, especially for porous surfaces, consider the use of a splash back or non-porous wall surface (e.g. ceramic tile).

Installing the Dyson Airblade Tap hand dryer is easy - all you need are a few simple tools.

Choosing a suitable location

The main unit should be mounted on a flat wall in a dry location. Access to a power source and mixed water supply is required.

Instructions

Unpack and remove product.

Install tap by feeding wiring through hole in sink and screw in place.

Install hose by feeding wiring through hose and screw on to tap.

Remove motor bucket from backplate

Unscrew and remove the electrics and water pipe cover.

Place backplate at desired place on wall and mark and drill holes.

Secure backplate to wall.

Connect communications cable and hose.

Wire power cable and install electrics cover ensuring all screws are tightened.

Connect water supply and install cover, screwing into place.

Attach motor bucket to complete installation.

Note: tall taps are installed in the same way

The main unit should be mounted on a flat wall in a dry location. Access to a power source and mixed water supply is required.

Instructions

Unpack and remove product.

Install tap by feeding wiring through hole in sink and screw in place.

Install hose by feeding wiring through hose and screw on to tap.

Remove motor bucket from backplate

Unscrew and remove the electrics and water pipe cover.

Place backplate at desired place on wall and mark and drill holes.

Secure backplate to wall.

Connect communications cable and hose.

Wire power cable and install electrics cover ensuring all screws are tightened.

Connect water supply and install cover, screwing into place.

Attach motor bucket to complete installation.

Note: tall taps are installed in the same way

Replacing the Main body

Remove the two security screws from the sides of the Main body.

                   

Swing the Main body unit up and unhook from the top rim of the backplate.

                   

Hook the new Main body over the top rim of the backplate.

                   

Insert and tighten the two security screws into the side of the Main body.

How to replace the filter

Replacement parts for your hand dryer can be carried out by carefully following the instructions given in the replacement pack and installation guide. If in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician or contact the Dyson Helpline for support.

If required for high usage environments, a Dyson filter change kit provides everything needed to change the unit's HEPA filter.

The air inlets should be regularly checked to ensure that they are free from dust and debris. Wiping the inlets with a soft cloth should be sufficient to remove dust and debris. If the air inlets get clogged, further cleaning or a filter change may be required.

Changing the filter

Remove the two anti-tamper screws from the Main body using the service tool provided.

                   

Lift the Main body up from the bottom and remove from the backplate.

                   

Release the four catches.

                   

Lift out both of the older HEPA filter housing assemblies.

Push both of the replacement HEPA filter housing assemblies in place, ensuring the catches on the top are facing up and the catch on the side is towards the top of the unit.

                   

Fasten the four catches.

                   

Hook the Main body of the unit over the top rim of the backplate. Swing the Main body of the unit down on to the backplate. (For installations with the cable entry on the side, ensure that the side bracket seal is correctly seated against the Main body).

                   

Insert and tighten the two security screws into the side of the Main body as illustrated. Recommended torque of 0.5-0.7NM.
