The magnetic 360° charging cable contains a magnet. Keep away from sensitive electrical equipment such as pacemakers.
For the best performance, always fully charge your Dyson Corrale™ straightener between uses.
When your straightener needs charging, the battery icon on the OLED screen will flash and a prompt will sound.
When the battery is empty, the battery icon will flash and a prompt will sound five seconds before your straightener turns off.
The battery charging LED is located on the lower part of the Dyson Corrale™ straightener. The LED will be amber while charging and turn green when fully charged.

When the Flight-ready tag is removed, all controls will be disabled. If you try to use your straightener when flight-ready, an aeroplane icon will appear on the OLED screen.
If the aeroplane symbol doesn't appear on the OLED screen when the Flight-ready tag is removed, contact Dyson before travelling.
Reactivating your straightener
Insert the Flight-ready tag back into your straightener.

When the Flight-ready tag is in position, all of the controls will be disabled. If you try to use your straightener when flight-ready, an aeroplane icon will appear on the OLED screen.
If the aeroplane symbol doesn't appear on the OLED screen when the Flight-ready tag is in position and the Power button is pressed, contact Dyson before travelling.
Reactivating your straightener
Remove, rotate and replace the Flight-ready tag to align with the house symbol.
Turn your straightener off and leave to cool down.
This is expected if the ambient temperature is very hot or the machine is next to a heat source.

The Power button will pulse red as your straightener heats up.
Your straightener is ready to use when the Power button illuminates red, a prompt sounds and a tick icon appears on the OLED screen.
If you're having trouble gliding through your hair with the Dyson Corrale™ straightener, try the following simple steps:
• Prepare the hair: Before styling, ensure hair is tangle-free and completely dry. For best results, section your hair before starting to style. • Loosen grip: Because the flexing plates shape to gather your hair, you don’t need to apply as much tension. Loosen the grip and let the machine do the work for you.
• Tress (hair section) size: The perfect tress size will depend on your hair type. Try a few different section sizes and see what works best for you. If you have coarse or curly hair, try starting with smaller sections. If you have fine hair, try using larger sections.
• Position of the tress: To maximise the benefits of the flexing plates, ensure the hair tress is in the middle of the plates when styling.
• Style speed: Try using slow, even passes rather than multiple quick passes.
• Styling your ends: If you’re finding it difficult to style the ends of your hair, it may be because you have finer or more layered hair. Try styling your roots and mid-lengths first, and style the ends last so you can take larger sections of hair.
Too hot
Turn your straightener off and leave to cool down.
This is expected if the ambient temperature is very hot or the machine is next to a heat source.
This is normal and the machine is working as expected.
For the best performance, always fully charge your Dyson Corrale™ straightener between uses.
Your Dyson Corrale™ straightener will provide up to 30 minutes of cord-free styling. However this will vary depending on heat setting and how the product is used.
Your Dyson Corrale fast charges during the first 40 minutes of being plugged in (up to ~95% of battery charge). For the remainder of the 30 minutes of charging the process slows to protect the battery from being over charged.
The greatest draw on the charge of the battery is during the heating up period; taking the heater plates from ambient/room temperature up to 210°C/410°F. Therefore, the largest drop in battery charge would be expected in the first few minutes of each use. After this, the drop in charge on the OLED will slow down as the battery only has to maintain the temperature of the plates.
If the product is fully charged for 70 minutes we would expect a 15-20% drop in charge around 5 minutes of use if the user is using the product at 210°C/410°F. However, if the product is only charged for 40 minutes we would expect there to be a 25-30% drop in charge around the 5 minutes mark for a product at 210°C/410°F. If the ambient temperature is below 20°C, this will put further pressure on the battery and the drop in charge may be greater.
If the temperature of the product is set to a lower heat setting, the drop in the battery charge on the OLED screen will be slower.
Hybrid charge mode
Connect to the Magnetic 360° charging cable to extend your run time.
The battery will continue to discharge when in Hybrid mode, but at a slower rate.
Store your Dyson Corrale™ straightener on the charging dock when not in use to maximise run time.

As with many electrical products, it is normal to hear a quiet buzzing noise from the Dyson Corrale™ straightener when the machine is plugged in.
The buzzing noise may appear louder as the machine is held close to your ear during use.

Clean the machine
Turn off your Dyson Corrale™ straightener and leave to cool before cleaning.
Clean the flexing plates with a damp, lint-free cloth. Rub gently to remove any stubborn hair product residue.
Within the first few uses it is normal to expect a smell from any brand new appliance with a heater element (e.g. toaster/oven/kettle etc.)
The smell will fade with time and usage.
The magnetic 360° charging cable contains a magnet. Keep away from sensitive electrical equipment such as pacemakers.
The charging cable is connected magnetically and will come apart when force is applied. It should not detach without interaction, but may if knocked loose.

When your Dyson Corrale™ is held closed, or in the locked position, there is an intended allowance of sideways movement in the arms. This is to avoid damage to the product.

The battery charging LED is located on the lower part of the Dyson Corrale™ straightener. The LED will be amber while charging and turn green when fully charged.

Turn your straightener off and then back on again to reset.

Sleep mode
If your Dyson Corrale™ straightener is left unattended with the power on for longer than five minutes, the flexing plates will automatically switch off.
The Power button will flash red every 10 seconds during this time.
If you close your straightener without turning the power off, the Power button will flash every three seconds until you turn the power off. After five minutes, the machine will revert to the Sleep mode above.
The Power button will pulse until the selected temperature has been reached as it heats up or cools down.
The power button illuminates solid red when the selected temperature has been reached.

Your dock can be used as a charging dock or a stand to store your Dyson Corrale™ straightener.
Push the two parts of the charging dock together until they click securely in place.
Connect the Magnetic 360° charging cable to the base of the charging dock.
Once assembled, your charging dock can be disassembled by pulling the support arm out of the base.

To turn off your straightener, unlock, press and hold the Power button until the OLED display turns off.
